Veranda

A veranda for a young family living close to the harbor of Rotterdam. The yellow steel structure is treated with the same marine coating used for bouys and seagoing vessels and has the same color as the water taxi which stops in front of the house. The wooden beams are connected with a blind steel plates and stainless hand-turned steel pins. The glass roof provides a place covered from rain. A shade cloth can be extended during sunny days.
